God the Creator - God the Father: Part 9 of 13

Preview: An introduction to the God of Creation; the only true God. This is the ninth lesson in a thirteen-part series of lessons on this subject.


Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 32:4-20.

Memory Verse: Deuteronomy 32:6.

1. Do we see in the foregoing Scriptures that God called Israel His children even though they disobeyed and dishonored Him?
2. Did God call Solomon His son? I Chronicles 28:2-3 & I Chronicles 28:5-6.
3. Did He call the House of Israel His firstborn? Exodus 4:21-23.
4. Did David acknowledge God as the Father of Israel? I Chronicles 29:9-10.
5. Did David declare God to be his Father? Psalm 68:5-6 & Psalm 89:18, Psalm 89:20 & Psalm 89:26.
6. What did God promise to Israel (His firstborn)? Psalm 89:27-37.
Note: God’s promise to Israel was unconditional. They backslid and lost their first estate with Him. They have suffered untold hardships. They are still buffeted by hate and rejection. Yet they are still, and always will be, the children of God’s covenant; first made to Abraham and then reaffirmed to David.
7. Did Isaiah confirm this prophecy? Isaiah 1:2-7 & Isaiah 9:21.
8. What has God promised to do for Israel despite their disobedience and unbelief? Isaiah 5:24-27 & Isaiah 10:17 & Isaiah 10:20-23.
9. How must this be accomplished? Isaiah 7:14 & Isaiah 9:6-8.
Note: Israel’s salvation must come through their acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. There is no other name under Heaven whereby man must be saved.
