Two Laws

Preview: The Ten Commandments and the Law of Moses are two separate entities. It is critical that we recognize the difference between the two. Note: The Ten Commandments were written by God the first time, and they were written by Him the second time after Moses broke the first two stones. The Ten Commandment law is the Law of God, not the law of Moses. Moses wrote the law of ordinances. The Bible points out a difference between the two laws, who wrote them, and where they were written.

Note: The ordinance law was written by Moses. It was written in a book and placed in the ark of shittim wood where God’s law on tables of stone was already stored. The law of ordinances governed the Jewish ritual (the law of sacrifices, offering of blood, etc.). It was added to punish those who disobeyed God’s Royal Law. Obedience to the Ten Commandment law does not punish man. It makes life pleasant, happy, and enjoyable for man.
