Promises of God's Safety

Preview: The promise of God’s safety for us lies in our faith in Him and His plan for us. We do not always know what that plan is, but faithfully following His Word throughout our lives will ensure our place with Him in Heaven. God has promised to look after our daily needs, but we need to uphold our promise to worship the Lord in the way He has outlined for us in the Bible. There is only one way to please the Lord, and that is by following His Word exactly as He has given it to us.


Scripture Reading: Psalm 91:1-16.

Memory Verse: Psalm 37:40.

1. What can we trust about our government for safety? I Thessalonians 5:3, Jeremiah 17:5, Psalm 33:16-17.
2. To whom must we look for our safety? Jeremiah 17:7-8, Matthew 28:20, Hebrews 13:5-6, Colossians 1:20-23, Psalm 107:6.
3. Who can claim the promises of safety? Psalm 84:11, Proverbs 11:4, Isaiah 32:17.
4. Who cannot claim the promises? Psalm 37:20, Isaiah 59:1-2, Proverbs 28:1.
5. What does God promise His children in time of famine? Psalm 37:19, Psalm 33:19, Psalm 105:40.
6. Consider the safety of the following people:
     a. Daniel- Daniel 6:11-16 & Daniel 6:20-22. Why was he safe? Daniel 6:23.
     b. Three Hebrew children- Daniel 3:19-23, Daniel 3:25. Why were they safe? Daniel 3:17-18.
     c. Noah- Genesis 7:23. Why was he safe? Genesis 6:9, Genesis 7:1.
     d. Rahab- Joshua 6:21-25. Why was she safe? Genesis 7:17.
     e. Stephen- Acts 7:54, Acts 7:57-59. Where was his safety? Acts 7:55, Acts 7:59-60.
     f. Christ- Isaiah 53:1-9. Even though it looked as though Christ did not have the safety God had promised, what was the purpose of this? Genesis 7:10-12.
Note: Just because a child of God dies for his faith does not mean he was separated from the safety of God. Romans 8:28.
